Praise for Sam as a Teacher & Mentor

“Sam is the Real McCoy mentor everyone should have on their team. She is business-like and entertaining, a soothing, kind voice with a double dare, (kind of) like your best friend…”

Jane Sisam, Whakatane, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand

There are few people who blend a rational sense of system so beautifully with an open and caring heart. Samantha Bennett is the definition of a teacher/guide – she imparts awareness and knowledge with the gusto of an Irish bartender and holds her students close like the protective lioness grooming her cubs to rule their jungle.

A Note from Sam About Why The Daily Practicum Works So Astonishingly Well:

Hello –

First of all let me say that I’m as surprised as anyone at how effective the 15 Minute Daily Practicum is.

I never expected that just a little commitment could produce such extraordinary results.

And it seems to work for everyone

We Leverage Natural Human Behavior

Humans are tribal animals, and we’re designed to live in a group. So it is much easier for us to get things done when we are surrounded by others who are getting things done.

“Body doubling” is also known as “parallel play” or “co-working,” and it means doing work while someone is working alongside us.

The magic of body doubling works for all people, and it can be especially helpful if you are:

  • Neurodivergent
  • Working on something challenging
  • Overworked
  • Not sure where to begin
  • Feeling a lot of pressure in the form of anxiety, perfectionism, or self-doubt

We Leverage Commitment

Paying even a nominal amount increases your level of commitment and awareness to your project. When you spend money on something, it automatically increases in importance in your mind. Done properly, you can actually invest your way to success.

We Leverage the Power of a Like-Minded Community

To be seen and supported by the wonderful, inventive, funny, oddball, serious, committed members of the Daily Practicum community and our Practicum Leaders is to open the door to a whole world of joyful connection. You’ll be surprised by the new friends you make.

We Leverage the Power of Focus

There’s not a lot of chit-chat. We all get on the Zoom, we say Hi, we take a few deep breaths and then start the timer for 15 minutes. Most people turn their camera off, but some leave it on. When the timer dings, we all get back on camera, say “Yay!” and log off. That’s it.

I’m getting addicted to the feeling of feeling motivated.

What Kind of “Projects” Are People Working On?

  • Building a business
  • Promoting on social media
  • Reaching out to lapsed connections
  • Contemplation
  • Tidying up
  • Filing
  • Prayer/Meditation
  • Singing
  • Create an online shop
  • Writing letters to friends and loved ones

You can use the time for whatever you like, of course. We recommend that you use it to do something you wouldn’t otherwise do. Preferably something that’s important to you.

What If I Can’t Attend In Person?

That’s fine. Some of us show up every day, some just once a week or so, and some people never show up in person at all, but they still like having it appear on their calendar so they can claim their 15 minutes at some other point in the day.

It seems that just the action of enrolling has a positive effect – isn’t that cool?

Can I Communicate With Others in the Group?

Most of the members of the Practicum are also members of our private Facebook Group, “Secrets of Highly Creative People,” so there are opportunities to connect that way. Some people have made great business connections, others lifelong friends. But interaction is entirely optional, and happens outside of the Practicum itself.

Is it Really This Simple?

It is. There’s no training, no reading, no preparation, no homework, no judgment and no pressure. There’s just a delightful 15 minutes in your day that you get to dedicate to yourself.

Yes, But…..Really?

Elaine has been writing for 15 minutes a day for over 1500 days.
Julie cleared her mom’s entire house and is now creating an arts-and-crafts closet.

Sam finished the manuscript for her new book! (Coming in May 2024!!)
