This is a living document, which the team will refine as the brand vision becomes clearer, as new design needs are identified, and as our Art Director changes her mind.

Samish Thinking and Writing

You’re Fine. You’re Weird. That’s Okay.

Now do your work; the world needs you.

You have ideas and goals and projects and dreams that are calling you.

But until now, you have resisted that call.

Too busy.

Not sure where to start.

Will it even be worth it?

You can keep thinking that you’ll take action “someday,” OR you can join the Get It Done Lab, and actually… get it done.

Reluctant?

Of course, you are.
You’ve tried other things before.
You’ve read all the books. You’ve even read THE book.

You are already wise.

But the world has SHIFTED.
Nothing stays the same.

SHAKE OFF THE DELUSION OF “OH, SOMEDAY…” AND ACTUALLY START NOW.

Commit.

Crazy?

Not as crazy as continuing to put off what matters most to you.

Imagine that you are working on your “thing.” It does not matter what your thing is. It only matters that the thing matters to you.

You spend a little bit of time on your thing. Every. Single. Day.

Overwhelmed? Don’t be.
It’s only 15 minutes.
Longer if you so choose, of course.

Pretty soon…

You start to feel the RUSH OF ACCOMPLISHMENT
the JOY that comes from working on stuff you LOVE
the SATISFACTION of being truly productive.

And you might be wondering, “Sam, why 90-days? Is that a magic number?”

Why yes, actually. I am glad you asked because it is kinda magic.

What I know from years of teaching productivity to creatives and creativity to productives, is that there is a very predictable pattern that emerges when you set out to, Get It Done.

It goes something like this…

Around Day 15, you start to feel a SHIFT.
“This might actually work…”  you think to yourself.

Around Day 30, doubt may creep in.
You might feel like skipping a day, or three.
Interruptions and distractions are practically guaranteed.

But, you’re HERE, in the Lab, so you persist; you hold to your promise.

Just 15 minutes.

By Day 45, the 15-Minute a Day practice will feel so good, you think you may never stop.

By Day 60, what you set out to accomplish is starting to become a reality.

Around Day 75, your shadow self may throw a complete tantrum.
(This just means you are getting close.)
But, you’re HERE, in the lab, and I am there to remind you that you are right on schedule.

BY DAY 90, as if by magic, YOU CAN SEE, HEAR, FEEL, AND TASTE THE RESULTS OF YOUR STEADY EFFORTS.

It’s a *new* day.

You Got It Done.

–Sam

P.S. Oh, and by the way, this process works for the profoundly practical too.

All those important-but-not-on-fire things that can languish, drag you down, and make you feel stuck.

All the things, done.

Praise for Sam as a Teacher & Mentor

“Sam is the Real McCoy mentor everyone should have on their team. She is business-like and entertaining, a soothing, kind voice with a double dare, (kind of) like your best friend…”

Jane Sisam, Whakatane, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand

There are few people who blend a rational sense of system so beautifully with an open and caring heart. Samantha Bennett is the definition of a teacher/guide – she imparts awareness and knowledge with the gusto of an Irish bartender and holds her students close like the protective lioness grooming her cubs to rule their jungle.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from the "Get It Done" book or program?

Get It Done, the book, is a great introduction to the fundamentals, principles, and values of what it means to be creatively productive, and productively creative. If you’ve read and liked the book but found that your ability to stick with it was less than ideal, The Lab is a perfect next step.

The Get It Done Program, a six-module, on-demand, self-study program with an emphasis on completing creative projects, has helped thousands move an amazing array of projects forward, from publishing their first novel, to seeing their finished work featured in a local gallery, to quitting their day job and launching their dream business.

The Get It Done Lab, a 90-day, guided, sprint, designed to get you the structure and accountability to actually implement the productivity principles I originated with, Get It Done, the book, and further developed in the Get It Done Program.

It’s applicable to ANY and ALL of the things that you want to get done, from the profoundly practical to the purely whimsical.

The Get It Done Lab is a great next step for anyone who’s read the book OR done the program. It is also the perfect place to start putting the Get It Done Principles into practice even if you’ve never done or even heard of either the book or the program.

The Get It Done Lab is ideal for anyone who wants to learn and apply these time-tested, proven principles for Getting Things Done.

How do I get personal coaching or advice from Sam?

There is time in every session to ask questions. Plus, you can apply in advance for “hot seat” coaching during our Process Sessions, which are the 4th Wednesday of each month. If you would like more private help, please upgrade to include three “Espresso Sessions” with Sam that will be available as soon as you submit your order from this page.

Note: space is very limited for these sessions. If you know you want personal, 1-on-1 support, secure your place now.

What if I lose steam and want to drop out or give up?

We’re all about creative productivity and productive creativity, so of course, we want you to go all the way. It is also my experience that your results will be commensurate with your commitment.

We are here to support you through the inevitable ebbs and flows (see my Note from Sam above for what that could look like for you) – all we ask is that you keep showing up, however imperfectly, and trust the process.

And, if after attending the first live session on October 13th, you really don’t think the program is right for you, you can request a refund anytime through October 20th.

How will I connect with the other participants?

There will be a private Facebook group set up exclusively for Get It Done Lab participants that you will continue to have access to even after the 90-day cohort is complete. I also encourage you to participate in the weekly Facebook Lives on the group, Secretes of Highly Creative People.
